7!!! Ican't believe he's 7!!! Wow, where does the time go? This is the first year that Blake was very specific about what he want for his party. From the bat pinata to the vampire cake, Blake picked it all. His title for his party was "A Super Halloween Costume Birthday Party"! Here are a few pictures:
These are chocoaltes I made for the party...
You can't tell in the picture, but it is actually pitch black as you entered, the only lighting being a green strobe light and a small black light that made all the spider webbing glow. It was so cool!
This is the vampire cake. I was super happy that it turned out as awesome in real life as the one I had pictured in my head! I will add a few more pics of it at the bottom :-)
Yummy spider crackers...
I tried to stick to orange and black foods...
Cantaloupe and grapes...
Super cute halloween plates and cups that I got on clearance. Score!!
This is the bat pinata the I made. I couldn't find one online that I liked, so I took a chance and made it. It turned out better than I thought it would, and held up almost too well.....
Awesome spider, scared a couple kiddos, but they still loved it.
I love these favor boxes I found on Oriental Trading, super cheap and good size.
Our first game we played was the "eat the donut from the string with no hands" game, but I gave it a little twist! I tied a donut to both ends of a long string, then strung it over two more pieces of string tied parallel to the beams overhead. The object was to eat your donut (w/out hands) before the person across you ate theirs, and yours hit the gound. I was hillarious to watch!!
Our second game was the Mummy Wrap....this too was funny to watch the kiddos figure out how Not to rip the toilet paper.
Here are a few more pictures of Blake's vampire cake. I am excited to broaden my exprience making cakes, and this was a great one to add to my list!
