Easter 2010

Another Easter  to rejoice in the resurrection of Jesus Christ is upon us. Ours was quite interesting…..

Our egg hunt at Suncadia Resort on Saturday was done in freezing temps and snow.  Easter Sunday, the boys woke us up to find their baskets that Mr. Bunny hid. Kades basket was under our kitchen counter on a little table. Blakes was up high on a shelf in the play room. After baskets, we got ready and went to Church. Afterward, Tyler’s whole family joined us at our home for some yummy Bagna Calda and egg hunting. We had a wonderful time.  

McKynlee's 1st Birthday

Wow, I can't believe this day is here. My baby has turned ONE!! We had a wonderful party for her. I decided to do a Lady Bug theme, and it turned out great. 

These are the invites I made

The party favors. They were filled with Lady bug bubbles, a toy, and some candy.

I finally am able to have an outdoor birthday for one of my kids!

I Love this cake I made for Mckynlee...1st time using fondant, I think I did pretty good!

She seemed to like it.....

 The kids played a game of Toss the Bugs with little bean bag bugs. 

They also got to decorate little flower pots and plant their own flower

She did a great job opening her presents…

Overall, we had a great time. Mickey was pooped after such a fun party!!

To the ZOO!

Now that the weather is starting to become nicer out, I took my kids, including Child Care kiddos, on a field trip to Woodland Park Zoo. Now, we do this every year, but it never seizes to amaze me how new and exciting it is for the kids EVERY time! You would think that having been to the zoo on numerous occasions, the kids would be "used" to seeing these animals. However, by the amazement and wonder expressed on their cute little faces, I am proven wrong everytime. I love the innocence of their little minds, and the fact that it is SO easy to entertain them!

A Walk...

One of the best places about Ellensburg is that it is small enough that you can walk just about anywhere. My family is fortunate enough to live right next to a great walking trail that leads all the way to our local swimming lake and park. It's a nice relaxing scenic walk, and a great way to spend some time together.

*Hair *Hair *Hair

So, anyone that knows me, knows I love to do hair. Given, I'm not very good at my own hair, but I can pull off a mean french braid on anyone else. Being a momma to two boys, well, I had to get my fix somewhere, so every little girl that has come through my doors has had their hair done by me at least once.  Well, I'm happy to say that I now have my own little girl who FINALLY has hair that I can do!!! I love it!! I think she has more hair accessories already than I've had my whole life!!

This was McKynlee's first hairdo. She had just enough hair to make a small pony-tail.

This is the 1st time I was able to get in two ponies, yes Two! Haha

 

And, it only adds to my excitement that she has curly hair! 

 

I love that her hair is getting longer, I can't wait to braid it!

 

Heck, even Big Brothers like to get in on the hair action!

But, every once in a while, a girls gotta cut loose and let her locks run free.....especially after they've been in pigtails all day!
